TEG started in 2003 from an informal lunch of various Bethesda-based entrepreneurs (Marc Geffroy, Rollin Bell, PCM CEO; Lee Jundanian, CEO of Stone Street Financial; Tien Wong, CEO of Opus8) and has grown into non-profit club of over 250 area business owners/ principals from the commercial real estate, VC, finance, and service sectors. TEG meets 8 times a year for a breakfast that typically features an entrepreneurial case study by a CEO or industry/ market updates (real estate, state/ local politics, economy, import/ export, stock market, tax/ accounting, M&A). As the program grew, the audience widened to include many business owners from a wide variety of industries.

Marc Geffroy Founder of TEG

Past speakers include David Chassen of Blackboard.com; Don Marron, Chief Economist for the President’s Council of Economic Advisors; Scott Puritz, former CEO of Optiglobe; and Doug Duncan, former County Executive. In May of each year we  host an all day “ropes course” at the Innerquest facility at the Meidera School in Great Falls with proceeds going to the Outward Bound scholarship fund. Over the past several year, Marc Geffroy and Ron Wills met to discuss taking the program to new levels. At that time, Marc's development projects did not allow him the freedom to continue with TEG on a regular basis and it was decided that Ron Wills would take over. Joining Marc's group with the National Association of Business Owners and Entrepreneurs will allow TEG to expand and offer additional programs for this prestigious group.

Each month TEG meets at the Columbia Country Club located in Chevy Chase, Maryland (Map and Directions). This is one of the most beautiful clubs in the area with a tremendous history. The Columbia Country Club is the successor of the Columbia Golf Club, which was organized on September 29, 1898. The present site was purchased in 1909 from the Chevy Chase Land Company and features a fantastic clubhouse and meeting facilities.

TEG is a CEO Breakfast Speakers' Series that provides a comfortable way to start the day with coffee and welcome at 7:30 am. A full sit-down breakfast follows as our speaker is introduced by 8:15 am. The program promptly ends at 9:00 am so that you won't get a late start on your day.

Please plan to join us for the next TEG breakfast. Sorry, registrations are limited to company CEO's / Principals of firms $1MM or greater in annual revenue.
